Read REK’s response to the Ministry of Health and Care Services’ proposal for amendments to the Health Research Act

The regional committees for medical and health research ethics (REK) have long wanted a revision of the law, and we are pleased with the initiative from the ministry. Many of the proposed amendments are good and in demand. At the same time, it contains some very worrying proposals that will have consequences for the safeguarding of research ethics, the legal protection of research participants and trust in research.
